Advisory Committee on Disability Services
The BRTA conducts meetings with an Advisory Committee on Disability Services (ACDS) to discuss ongoing issues relative to public transportation services for individuals with disabilities. Meetings are currently held bi-monthly at the BRTA offices in Pittsfield and are open to the public. Anyone interested in attending should call the BRTA for information on the next scheduled meeting.
The ACDS meetings are routinely attended by strong advocates for accessible transportation who assist the BRTA by their participation with discussing service and funding related issues. Several members have participated on the committee for many years. Some have also traveled with BRTA staff to visit other transportation agencies across the state, as well as to testify at public hearings.
