Available to the elderly (60+), persons with a valid Medicare card, and disabled persons with a valid Massachusetts Access Pass.
Transfers
Transfer slips are free of charge. If you need to transfer to another bus to reach your destination, tell the bus operator when you pay your fare where you require a transfer to. Transfers are valid for travel in one direction on a different route and when issued, expire after 1 hour.
Fare Zones
Each community is considered a "fare zone." A fare is collected for each town in which you will travel, including the town in which you board the bus. There is a maximum charge of 4 zones for travel in one direction. The table above provides quick reference. Some special fares or promotional fares may apply to specific routes or services.

20 Zone Passes cost less then the cash fares and may be purchased from any bus driver, in person or via mail from the BRTA offices located at 67 Downing Parkway, Pittsfield and 1 Columbus Ave., Pittsfield

Free Transportation To:

PCA's (Personal Care Attendants) accompanying BRTA-certified disabled persons with a BRTA-issued ID that specified the disabled person's need for a PCA for travel
Birthdays Free fares on your birthday (proof required)
Children Children 5 years or younger, when accompanied by an adult (limit 2 per adult)
